Sustainability
Committed to sustainability: ISO 14001 certified since 2010, STELIA Aerospace works daily to minimise its environmental footprint. This commitment is visible in our high-performance facilities, our eco-efficient assembly lines that prioritise waste sorting, and our strict compliance with REACH and RoHS European standards.

Beyond operations, our long-term engagement is driven by a robust eco-design policy that shapes the future of aviation seating. We strive to support airlines in making sustainable choices by providing expert guidance on materials and processes from the earliest design stages.

A prime example of this innovation is the OPERA® ESSENTIAL seat, unveiled in 2024. As the lightest Business Class seat on the market, it redefines the sustainable approach to cabin interiors without compromising the premium passenger experience.
Furthermore, we are bridging the gap between R&T and industry with our patented thermoplastic shell. Industrialised in 2025 and implemented on the RENDEZ-VOUS® and OPERA ESSENTIAL® seats, this “one-shot” process creates a shell that is 10% lighter and has a 12% lower environmental impact, all whilst optimising the lifecycle and increasing perceived quality.
